Compact Fluorescent

Compact Fluorescent (CFL) light bulbs are one of the most commonly used energy efficient lamps on the market.  They are available in many shapes and sizes.  They have much longer life expectancy than an incandescent lamp.  Compact Fluorescent light bulbs do require a ballast to operate.  Some Compact Fluorescents have an integrated ballast and other types require an external ballast to operate the lamp.
