CFL Plug-In Bulbs

CFL Plug-In Bulbs are compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) with a plug-in base, commonly used in commercial and residential recessed lighting, sconces, and downlights. Designed to fit 2-pin (magnetic ballast) or 4-pin (electronic ballast) bases, these bulbs offer energy savings compared to incandescent bulbs while providing bright, even illumination in offices, hotels, retail spaces, and hospitals. Available in various wattages, color temperatures, and tube configurations (twin-tube, quad-tube, and long PLL styles), CFL plug-in bulbs are a cost-effective lighting solution. However, as LED PL and PLL retrofit options become more popular due to their longer lifespan, instant-on capability, and greater energy efficiency, CFL plug-in bulbs are gradually being phased out in favor of modern LED replacements.
