Metal Halide Bulbs

Metal Halide (MH) Bulbs are high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps known for their high-lumen output and superior color rendering, making them ideal for stadiums, parking lots, warehouses, street lighting, and industrial applications. These bulbs produce light by passing an electrical arc through a mixture of metal halide salts and mercury vapor, resulting in a bright, white light with color temperatures ranging from 3000K to 6000K. While more efficient than traditional incandescent and mercury vapor lamps, metal halide bulbs require a warm-up period and external ballasts for operation. Despite their high brightness and good color quality, LED replacements are becoming the preferred alternative due to their instant-on functionality, longer lifespan, lower energy consumption, and reduced maintenance costs.
