The Area Lighting Research AA-1068 is a line-voltage button eye photocell designed to automatically control outdoor lighting from dusk to dawn. Engineered for 208VAC, 240VAC, and 277VAC electrical systems, the AA-1068 provides dependable photoelectric switching for commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential lighting applications. Its compact button-eye design mounts directly through a fixture housing, making it an excellent replacement for existing stem-mounted photocells.

The AA-1068 automatically switches connected luminaires based on ambient light levels and supports lighting loads up to 1200 watts. Its sealed, weather-resistant construction utilizes a UV-stabilized frosted lens that protects the internal cadmium sulfide (CdS) sensor from moisture and environmental exposure while delivering consistent dusk-to-dawn performance. The compact design simplifies installation into area lights, wall packs, flood lights, and other outdoor fixtures.
