The Area Lighting Research LC-120 is a heavy-duty twist-lock photocontrol designed to automatically control outdoor lighting from dusk to dawn. Engineered for 120VAC electrical systems, the LC-120 provides dependable automatic switching for commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential lighting applications. Its rugged high-impact Noryl housing with a UV-stabilized acrylic window is built to withstand harsh outdoor environments while delivering reliable long-term performance.

The LC-120 features a heavy-duty SPST thermal bi-metal switch with a built-in 30 to 45 second time delay that virtually eliminates nuisance switching caused by lightning, vehicle headlights, or other temporary light sources. Rated for up to 1000 watts tungsten and 1800 VA ballast loads, the photocontrol is suitable for controlling incandescent, HID, and other outdoor lighting systems. A factory-calibrated turn-on level of 1.5 foot-candles with a 4:1 OFF/ON ratio provides dependable dusk-to-dawn operation.

Designed for years of maintenance-free outdoor service, the LC-120 incorporates a fail-ON design, cadmium sulfide (CdS) light sensor, weather-resistant construction, and a standard ANSI C136.10 three-prong twist-lock connection for quick installation. The photocontrol is UL Listed and CSA Certified, making it ideal for parking lot lighting, roadway lighting, security lighting, area lighting, building exteriors, and municipal lighting applications.
