The Area Lighting Research TL-115 is a slim-profile photocontrol designed to automatically operate exterior lighting from dusk to dawn. Engineered for 120VAC systems, the TL-115 is ideal for installations with limited mounting space, including between flood lights and other compact outdoor lighting fixtures. Its adjustable swivel base allows precise aiming of the photocell away from stray light sources, ensuring dependable switching performance in commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential applications.

The TL-115 incorporates a heavy-duty SPST thermal bi-metal switch with a built-in 30 to 45 second time delay that virtually eliminates nuisance cycling caused by lightning, vehicle headlights, or other temporary light sources. Rated for up to 1800 watts tungsten and 1100 VA ballast loads, it is suitable for controlling incandescent, HID, and compact fluorescent lighting systems. A factory-calibrated turn-on level of 1.5 foot-candles with a 5:1 OFF/ON ratio provides consistent dusk-to-dawn operation.

Built for dependable outdoor service, the TL-115 features a fail-ON design, cadmium sulfide (CdS) light sensor, UV-resistant polycarbonate housing, and operates in temperatures from -40°C to +65°C. The photocontrol is UL Listed, CSA Certified, and designed to meet ANSI C136.10 enclosure requirements, making it an excellent choice for flood lighting, parking lots, building exteriors, security lighting, signage, and other outdoor lighting applications requiring a compact photocontrol.
